2024 marks 47 years breeding Limousin seedstock for our family! We had a whirlwind fall between haying, harvest, oat and corn silage, corral cleaning, fencing, construction, sale and show cattle preparations, a new baby and a whole lot in between. The 2024 calving season saw the first progeny off our newest herd sires Martens Kobe 6K, B-Bar Desperado 11K and Kevin Costner DJE 213K. We have another excellent set of calves off our home raised sires Hillview Jose Cuervo 722J and Hillview Jet Black 26J as well as large groups off RPY Paynes Anchorman 19J and Sirloin Hulk 24H. Pinnacle's Geode 4G and RPY Paynes Elevation 43E rounded out the walking bull battery and we look forward to the same consistent progeny off these 'tried and true' sires that have over 100 progeny already on the ground. Colin was also busy with AI this spring and we have calves off RPY Paynes Hitman 67J, Hillview Kevin Costner 125K, and LFLC Easy Street 107E.

We welcome anyone who is in the Edmonton area this summer to make plans to stop in for a pasture tour - we are only 15 minutes north of St. Albert (north end of Edmonton). We are also looking forward to the National Limousin Show at Farmfair International's 50th Anniversary Show in November. 

Looking to next year - our Hillview Farms Annual Bull & Female Sale will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025 in Colin and Tessa's heated sale barn just southwest of Morinville, Alberta. We invite you to come tour the bulls and heifers ahead of the sale. Everyone who tours between January 15 - February 28, 2025 will receive a $100 sale credit and entry into our customer appreciation draw.
