Colin, Tessa, Rylin & Heath
Raymond was raised on the farm where he and Corine live today and where they raised their four children Marissa, Jessica, Sarena and Colin. Their ten grandchildren are now their pride and joy. Raymond and Corine, along with Colin and his wife Tessa and their young children Rylin and Heath make the day-to-day operations of Hillview Farms happen. In addition to the cattle herd and grain operation, they enjoy their horses, Border Collies and Rough Collies and have been very involved in 4-H for many years.
We were founding members of the Prime Limousin Club in 1985 and enjoyed 30 great years selling bulls and females as part of that group. As our operation and sale offering has grown, we have been hosting our own annual on-farm sale since 2017. We invite you to join us for our Hillview Farms Bull & Female Sale on the first Saturday of March annually at Colin and Tessa's farm southwest of Morinville, Alberta.

We have made tremendous friends in the cattle business and have appreciated all of the relationships formed with our buyers over the years. Your trust in our program means the world to us, and we endeavour to continue to provide outstanding Limousin cattle and exemplary customer service for years to come. We always welcome your call to visit about our cattle or to come for a tour of the herd.

In 1916, Raymond's grandparents settled on the land that we continue to farm today. The Verbeek's operation was originally grain and hogs. In 1974, the venture into the Limousin breed began with the lease of 14 head. They felt Limousin had a future as heavily muscled cattle that still had calving ease compared to many other continental breeds of the time. In 1977 Verbeek Limousin became members of the Canadian Limousin Association. In 1995, Raymond and Corine took on the name of Hillview Farms Limousin and continued to build their own purebred herd. On the flat farmland that we reside on directly north of Edmonton, hills are few and far between. While the 'hill' that we live on may only be a slight incline in the topography, it does give us a great view of the farmland that stretches out in all directions.

Today our operation consists of just under 200 registered Limousin females as well as a mixed commercial herd of Colin & Tessa's. In addition to the cattle, we also grow cereal, oilseed and forage crops.
